چکیده

Abstract Aim Delayed start times in the CEPOD theatre were observed locally and a ‘Golden Patient’ initiative was proposed, whereby patient is identified day before as first case for following day. We aimed to increase percentage of list patients sent 08:15. Method conducted retrospective analysis on each between 18th May 2021 8th August timings recorded. introduced concept 9th 2021. The proposal included prospect using recovery holding bay prior 08:00. A second 28th October Results Prior intervention 0 08:00 12 (14.6%) Following introduction 17 (21%) 31 (38%) Sending earlier whole post sending 08:15 appears occur consecutive days, suggesting proactive team duty. Conclusion has been success be most productive with can see clear obvious change but there still room further improvement. hope engrain into our local culture, show improvement sustain this over time.

To date, the in vitro–in vivo correlation (IVIVC) of P-glycoprotein (P-gp)–mediated drug-drug interaction (DDI) at the blood-brain barrier (BBB) in rats indicated that the cutoff value to significantly affect the brain penetration of digoxin was [I,unbound/Ki] of 1, where I,unbound is the unbound plasma concentration of P-gp inhibitors. On the basis of the IVIVC in rats, we speculated that clin...

Improving clinical trial efficiency by biomarker-guided patient selection

BACKGROUND In many therapeutic areas, individual patient markers have been identified that are associated with differential treatment response. These markers include both baseline characteristics, as well as short-term changes following treatment. Using such predictive markers to select subjects for inclusion in randomized clinical trials could potentially result in more targeted studies and re...

GATE: improving the computational efficiency

GATE is a software dedicated to Monte Carlo simulations in Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET). An important disadvantage of those simulations is the fundamental burden of computation time. This manuscript describes three different techniques in order to improve the efficiency of those simulations. Firstly, the implementation of variance red...
